Countless explorers have braved the hidden mysteries of Egypt’s temples, but none could truly anticipate what they would find deep below the surface. Launching out of early access on Steam on 16th January, The Temple Of hurls you head-first into the horrors that lurk in the darkness. Armed with nothing but a gun and the mysterious powers the temple provides, will you be able to reach the bottom?
The Temple Of is a roguelike FPS horror game that combines the secrets of Ancient Egypt with the terrors that hide beneath the surface. The debut game of archaeology student turned developer, Ben Fried, this new indie title challenges players to venture deeper, taking on god-like bosses while fending off the ever-growing Curse.
With every fresh attempt, players have to face the unknown all over again, as the levels are randomly generated with each run. They must explore fifteen levels of unnatural enemies and supernatural relics, balancing new powers with ancient discoveries in order to reach the guardian at the heart of the temple. Then, and only then, will players be granted the power to build their very own tombs and challenge fresh-faced explorers to take them on.
The Temple Of launches out of early access on January 16th and will be available on Steam.
