You are able to play Ninpo Blast in many languages, from English to Polish and Korean, just to name a few. There is not any text available, except for the menus, though, so you will basically only need to know how to read to be able to start the game. It is a very hectic vertical shoot ‘em up title, where you begin with only one life available, so there is basically no room for any error. There are waves of enemies that you will encounter, and at the end of each wave, a boss will appear, which you will have to defeat, in order to unleash a new wave of enemies on you. You are riding a hoverbike, and you have two basic attacks available. Between the waves, you will collect gears, that will allow you to upgrade your guns, hoverbike, and the ninja, which is your character. You can upgrade the weapons’ power, projectiles, and rate of fire, buy a new hoverbike model, and ninja’s health, katana recharge, and invincibility time. That is more or less it, when it comes to Tiny Pixels Vol. 1 – Ninpo Blast – beat waves, bosses, collect gears and upgrade things, that are possible to upgrade.
The enemies, that you will encounter, are types of insects, and they are nothing special, when it comes to how they look and are designed. That is also basically it when it comes to graphics, because there is nothing else worth mentioning graphics-wise. Sounds are also pretty dull and boring – nothing special at all. You can unlock for unique hoverbikes, but you will not have any time looking at them anyway, since there will be projectiles and enemies that you will need to put your focus on. Oh, and there are six boss types that you will battle, and online leaderboards you will be able to compete with.
Tiny Pixels Vol. 1 – Ninpo Blast is a shmup that does not present anything overly exciting, and there are plenty more interesting shoot ‘em up games out there – vertical and horizontal. I do not recommend buying it, even though it is a very cheap game.
