Adelaide-based Andrew Bray has announced his debut title VAGRIENT will be launching on Steam in Q1 2025.
VAGRIENT is a top-down open word 2D action adventure set in a science fiction universe. You play as the titular character himself where, after being separated from his clan at war in another solar system, he must restore power to the corrupted warpgate.
In order to get back to his home planet, he’ll explore a vast solar system in the hope of finding that which he desires. But the journey won’t be easy; Vagrient will encounter hostile alien lifeforms and all manner of dangerous entities.
Vagrient isn’t defenceless, though. In VAGRIENT, the health and energy systems are combined into one, causing the player to carefully consider their actions in both combat and puzzle-solving situations. As you progress, you’ll unlock new skills that rely on your energy and gain permanent upgrades.
Relics are waiting to be discovered throughout the universe, which can be utilised to further enhance Vagrient’s skills.
VAGRIENT is launching on PC (via Steam) in Q1 2025.
